Bar Burrito Restaurants Inc., Chefspot Restaurant – Barnaan, Pronto Pasta, Grainbowl

In this role, I was responsible for all aspects of culinary innovation for the national chain of Bar Burrito restaurants and newer concepts like ChefSpot, including BarNaan, Pronto Pasta, and GrainBowl. My responsibilities included efficient kitchen operations and equipment innovation, menu design and development, procurement of ingredients, menu optimization, and liaising with the marketing team to ensure proper brand development through culinary support.

Bagel World Restaurant

I was responsible for the overall management of a large-volume full-service restaurant and QSR take-out. This included financial analysis, ensuring guest satisfaction, motivating and coaching team members, overseeing food production and quality control, recruitment, and working towards financial targets and performance goals.

York Region District School Board

During this period, I delivered assessments, curriculum, and instruction, with a focus on Math and English literacy, in line with the board’s policies and procedures.

The Lunch Lady Aurora

As the Chef/Operator, I manage the culinary operations of this high-volume lunch service, overseeing 2000 meals weekly. My duties encompass food purchasing, costing, inventory control, maintaining food quality, menu development, driving systems and standards, staff recruitment and training, and business development.

As a Chef/Partner, I oversaw the culinary operation, focusing on menu
development and recipe design.

I worked as a Kitchen Manager and Chef in multi-unit high-volume concepts of casual restaurants, including Houston Steaks & Ribs, Milestones Restaurants, and Jack Astors. My responsibilities included driving systems and standards, managing inventories and financial reports, ensuring health and safety compliance, supervising food quality, and hiring and developing kitchen staff.
